Rihan Sayyed
From a Village to the Mumbai Police Force
Rihan grew up in Dindori with his parents and younger brother. His father Aslam works as a tailor in another person’s shop, while his mother Sanjidabi manages the household. With an annual family income of less than ₹1,00,000, the family struggled to meet daily expenses, education costs, and other basic needs.
Despite these financial challenges, Rihan carried a strong dream from the age of ten — to secure a job in the Defence or Police sector. His parents always encouraged him to stay focused and work hard toward achieving his goal.
In 2019, Rihan enrolled in the Bachelor of Science course at MVP’s Arts, Commerce & Science College, Dindori. During his first year, the Youth Dreamers Foundation (YDF) team visited the college to conduct an orientation about scholarship opportunities.
The scholarship helped reduce the financial burden on his family and allowed him to continue his education with confidence. Along with financial assistance, YDF also provided mentorship, motivation, and career guidance.
After completing his education, Rihan achieved his dream by being selected as a Police Constable in the Mumbai Police. Today, he earns approximately ₹3.60 lakh annually and has become the main earning member of his family.
His success has significantly improved the family’s financial condition and enabled them to support his younger brother’s education. As the first government job holder in his family, Rihan’s achievement has brought pride and recognition within his community.
He now aims to grow further in the Police Department, serve with integrity, and inspire other young people from rural backgrounds to pursue their dreams with determination.
