Pallavi
A Journey from Struggles to Success
Pallavi, from the small town of Behror, is living proof that resilience, belief, and timely support can rewrite even the most difficult beginnings. She was born into a humble family where her father worked as a daily-wage laborer in a private company, earning barely ₹60,000 annually.
Meeting basic household needs was a daily struggle, and investing in education — especially for a daughter — often felt like an impossible dream.
As a child, Pallavi’s life took an unexpected turn when a severe accident left her physically disabled. For many, this would have been a breaking point. For Pallavi, it became a defining moment of determination. She refused to let her disability define her future.
In her community, sending girls away from home for education is often discouraged. Families face constant questions about why they should invest so much in their daughters' future.
But Pallavi’s father stood firm. Despite financial hardship and societal resistance, he believed deeply in his daughter’s potential.
Over the past four years, Pallavi has received ₹66,000 through the PRIF Scholarship. This support eased the family’s financial burden and gave her the confidence to focus completely on her education.
With determination and hard work, Pallavi chose the Science stream and pursued her dream of becoming a doctor.
Today, she is studying MBBS (2nd Year) at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar.
Her journey from a financially constrained household to a government medical college is nothing short of extraordinary. Pallavi’s story is now inspiring families in her community to believe in the power of educating their daughters.
